Product Spotlight: DeFeet Air-E-Ator Socks
The DeFeet Air-E-Ator socks may have one of the most ridiculous (or intuitive, I’m not sure yet) names for a pair of socks, but they are pretty sweet. They do everything that you wold want and more.
They claim there are five parts of the socks that make them stand out above the rest:
- Stayfast - Stayfast cuff provides a secure, durable, dynamic fit.
- Air-E-Ator - Sculplted Air-E-Ator mesh weave travels all the way around the sock to aid airflow and moisture transfer.
- En-Duro-Skin - En-Duro-Skin construction reinforces the external heel and toe “puncture” areas.
- Achill-E-Shield - Achill-E-Shield reinforces high-stress area.
- Sole2 - Sole2 system lets durability and wicking co-exist.
DeFeet definitely has it’s own style for making product names.
I have had really good luck with my Defeet Air-E-Ator’s. I have a few pairs that are nearing a couple years old now, and are still holding up really well. I have a feeling this is the case for most people that have these socks.
The socks excel in keeping away the moisture on those hot days (alternately, try the Wool Air-E-Ator socks for cooler days). Keeping your feet dry is important for making sure you are blister free after a sweaty ride.
The only drawback that I can think of are that some of the designs of the socks are pretty goofy looking. Though, it is posible to create your own custom design, including uploading your own logo.
