Italian Damiano Cunego wins the Tour of Lombardy

Damiano Cunego won the final UCI ProTour race of the season. Cunego races on the Lampre team, and finished ahead of Italian Riccardo Ricco. Samuel Sanchez of Spain was third.
Cunego has placed several times this year, but this was his first win.
“This win is much better than the one in 2004 when I won 13 races. I wanted it so much, I made a lot of sacrifices and I’ve had my recompense.”
Cadel Evans finished with enough points to win the overall ProTour title.
