New Zealand national coach on shaky ground

New Zealand FlagApparently, folks aren’t very happy with the performance of New Zealands cycling teams this year, and the national coach, Jacques Landry, is under fire.  Could it be due to the awful performance of the men’s team, and their inability to finish in the world championships?  Sounds like the three men had some issues during the world championship road race, and may not even compete at Beijing in only 10 months from now.

Landry says it is back to the drawing board for the men, but the women are a different story. He says the women’s race went well and it sets them up for Beijing as they know what they will be up against.

The women’s team is not quite as bad off with Joanne Kiesanowski finishing a rather strong 15th place at the world championships.
