Relationship tips for the cycling addict

Danish BicycleThe Seattlepi.com blogger, David Longdon, has created a set of 9 tips for those relationships with the cycling addict (it’s a bit of humor as well, I suppose).

Some of the things on this list of tips is a little far fetched, such as the “No skinny tires. The more rolling resistance the better”, but a few are of decent advice.

I think for the ‘couple’ outings, “Ride/run/hike/ski behind at all times” is a good one, as it lets your significant other set the pace (well, unless their pace is faster than yours!), and will keep the mood light.

I also like the “Never exceed 50% of your max heart rate.  This is a recovery ride.” tip.  It’s a good perspective to have on the couple outings.
