Stefan SchumacherThe bronze medal winner of the World Championships, Stefan Schumacher has caused another flurry of speculating, and concern, over doping at the World Championships held at Stuttgart, Germany.

The German Cycling Federation (BDR) announced the 26-year-old had come under suspicion after an abnormal result when tested in training last Tuesday which had been caused by illness, according to a report by German agency SID.

Shumacher might as well be guilty after all of this bad publicity he’s getting. At this point in cycling, it seems as if it’s guilty until proven innocent.

A second test by the International Cycling Union (UCI) on Friday showed the same abnormalities, but doctors confirmed the result was due to illness rather than doping.

Sounds like things were blown out of proportion a bit.
