2009 Cervélo S3 preview
The 2009 Cervélo S3 was unveiled at the Beijing Olympics, and with great success. Three of the top five finishers of the August 9th road race were on the new Cervélo S3.
The S3 is Cervélo’s aerodynamic marvel. It features the internal cable routing system (aptly titled CableStop), reducing the drag, and as an added bonus, causes the bike to be quieter since the cables won’t slap against the frame (looks pretty sharp too!). It also features new chainstays, and seatstays that have been made more aerodynamic than their other models.
The S3 comes standard with a 3T Funda Pro carbon fiber fork and an FSA Orbit IS integrated headset. It requires a braze-on front derailleur and an English bottom bracket. It’s available in 6 sizes between 48cm-61cm, and comes in two colors: A limited edition White with Olympic Rings, and in Black/Silver.
The cost of the frameset at Competitive Cyclist is $4500.

Anyone have any idea how this will ride compared with an R3 SL?
